We finally have an outlet for ultimate players in the Valley!

Here are the brackets for the end-of year tournament 7/29/14: (rules below)

Deadliest Catch Tournament Bracket

1. The tournament will have 3 rounds starting at 6:00, 7:30, and 9:00. Please show up before your game starts because games will start regardless of

2.  Every team will be guaranteed 2 games
3.  The first team to score 13 points wins. When the first team scores 7 points, there will be a 10-minute half-time break. Games will be no longer than 75 minutes in length. We will be using a soft cap and hard cap system to enforce the time limit. There will be no time-outs allowed during a capped game. Calling a time-out will result in a turn-over.

3a. The soft cap will come at the 65 minute mark (10 minutes left). When the horn blows for the soft cap, the score of the leading team plus 2 will be the new goal. For example, if Team A is leading Team B by a score of 10-9 and the soft cap sounds, then the game will be played to 12, or the hard-cap, whichever comes first.

3b. The hard cap will come at the 70 minute mark (5 minutes left). If the hard cap is reached during a point, the teams will play out that point, then one more point, then the game is over. If the final point results in a tie, one more point will be played to determine the winner.

4. There will be a 15-minute break between each game.

5. Please be aware of the rules. Especially fouls, picks, stalls, and out-of-bounds.

6. Although substitute players were allowed rather loosely during the season to help out teams, no substitute players from other teams or outside the league will be allowed during the tournament. Therefore, it is very important that all team members attend!

7. The Guy:Girl ratio on the field must be the same for both teams. Standard ration will be 5:2. If both captains agree, a ratio of 4:3 or 6:1 may be played (determined by the offensive team). If both captains do not agree to 6:1 or 4:3 and the team does not have enough girls or guys to maintain a 5:2, the team must play down a player.
